Why should I choose your business over another company?

Our experienced local business combines over eight decades of technical expertise with personalized customer service. As both a converter and a distributor, we deliver tailored solutions, reliable sharpening, and convenient pickup and delivery options.

Where is your physical location, and can I drop off tools in person?

Our facility is located at 235 Foster Avenue, Charlotte, North Carolina 28203. Customers are always welcome to drop off blades, bits, and tooling directly at our office during regular business hours.

What types of blades and tools do you sharpen?

Our industrial sharpening service covers a wide range of cutting tools, including carbide-tipped saw blades, router bits, compression bits, cold saw blades, planer blades, jointer knives, jigsaw and hacksaw blades, profile cutters, and specialized metalworking cutters.

How does your tool sharpening process work?

When your tools enter our shop, they undergo a thorough inspection and cleaning process. Next, we’ll re-sharpen each edge using precise CNC grinders and 600-grit diamond wheels. This careful process restores the geometry and cutting edge to original manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal performance.

How does your complimentary pickup and delivery service work?

To keep your shop running smoothly, we offer complimentary pickup and delivery service along established industrial routes. Our representative can visit your shop on a regular schedule to pick up dull tooling and return your freshly sharpened equipment.

How can my business benefit from using your sharpening services?

Regular professional sharpening offers three major advantages: cost savings, superior finish quality, and increased productivity. Our services can prevent you from needing to buy new tools while ensuring that your current equipment lasts as long as possible.

What sharpening options are available if my business is outside your local route area?

For clients located outside our primary local delivery routes, we coordinate fast overnight shipping via several major carriers. You can ship your dull tooling to our Charlotte facility, and we’ll sharpen, inspect, and ship them back promptly.

How can I tell when my saw blades or router bits need to be re-sharpened?

Key signs include increased pushing effort during cuts, burn marks on wood or thermal discoloration on metal, chipped edges, rougher cut surface finishes, or unusual noise and vibration during operation.

What types of abrasive products do you supply and convert?

We supply several quality abrasive products, including coated abrasives, non-woven materials, hand sanding pads, and bonded grinding wheels. As a converter, we can customize abrasive belts and sheets into specific widths, lengths, and grit configurations required for your machinery.

How do I select the right abrasive backing and grain for my application?

Choice of grain (aluminum oxide, zirconia alumina, or ceramic) and backing (paper, cloth, or synthetic non-woven) depends on whether the substrate is hardwood, stainless steel, aluminum, or glass. Our technical team can evaluate your material and finishing equipment to recommend the most cost-effective product.

Can your specialists help with troubleshooting surface finishing issues?

Absolutely. If you’re experiencing deep scratching, uneven wear, or poor surface finish quality, our experienced technicians can review your speed, pressure, and grain selection to optimize your finishing process.

What custom tool grinding and grading services do you provide?

Beyond standard sharpening, we perform custom tool grinding and grading for specialized tools, including compression bits, router bits, and custom shapers. We can modify tool geometries or adapt profiles to suit unique manufacturing and milling requirements.

Which material types can your band saw blades and cutting tools process?

Our catalog of blades and router bits is engineered for a broad variety of materials, including hardwoods, softwoods, non-ferrous metals, steel alloys, composites, plastics, acrylics, and structural glass.
